Army and Navy CSL single shot Underlever Four Bore shotgun with modern fully rifled barrel by JJ Perodeau.ca 1892 Cal. 4 bore. Original 36” bbl is engraved Army&Navy CSL London on top of octogonal breech section, which transitions to rounds and tapers to muzzle. 4 bore Birmingham proofs. 28 3/4” Mono-Bloc rifle barrel broad file cut full length rib with flat engraved JJ Perodeau Gunmaker
“Enid OK”, one standing leaf rear sight and silver bead foresight dovetailed in place. Jones underlever action with rebounding back action and rounded serpentine hammer. Line border engraving.each barrel has its own forend of european walnut. 14 1/2 “ LOP. Drop at heel: approximately 2 7/8”, drop at comb approx 2 3/16”. Weight with rifle barrel 19lbs, 8 oz.
Included is a beautifully done modern case which holds the gun with both barrels,turnscrews, brushes, and oil and grease bottles. Also included are 8 modern brass 4” casings,and a modern Conical bullet mould.
Condition: Excellent as refurbished.Shotgun barrel retains approx 80%of original blue. Forend retains most of original finish. Modern barrel retains nearly all of its original finish. Action and lock retain over 90%of their case color hardening. Newer buttstock and forend retain nearly all of their finish. Bores are excellent. Action is tight. Barrels are on face. Lock is crisp.
