Description:
An extremely rare factory engraved Savage model 1899 in 303 Savage.Built in 1903,this rifle has Crescent grade engraving featuring whitetail bucks on each side of the receiver.The stock and forend are highly figured walnut and are finely checkered.The barrel is 26" octagon with a mint bore.The rifle is in all original condition retaining 95% of the original blue and wood finish.The lever retains 50% of the case colors and the stock retains the original crescent buttplate.The stock is sound with no cracks or damage.The rifle has an original Lyman adjustable peep sight with disck installed.This is a very rare 1899 in unaltered condition.C&R eligble.
