Description:
This Colt Combat Commander was a project gun; I got it in pretty rough cosmetic shape but in great shape mechanically and function-wise. I added a Brown beavertail grip safety, high-cut the front strap, throated the barrel and had the frame, mainspring housing, and slide Cerakoted. I test fired approx. 200 rounds of mixed Federal HST 230 gr., 230 gr. ball, 185 gr. Sig V Crown, and 200 gr. lead semi-wadcutter ammo with zero failures of any kind, and accuracy was excellent (I'll attach a picture of a 15 yard target). Smaller parts are left in the original blue, and show some wear. Bore is perfect and shiny. LOK grips. Novak sights.
This pistol is not perfect cosmetically, but it shoots very well and would be ideal for anyone looking for a good "truck gun", or one to throw in a backpack or bugout bag that you won't have to treat with kid gloves or be miserable if you got a scratch or a spot of rust on it. I'm including one Wilson 7 round magazine from my own stock, as this gun didn't come with one. Obviously, no box or papers. I'm selling it for approximately what I have in it. The last picture is how I got the gun originally. The wood grips aren't great, but I'll include them if you want.
