Description:
Colt New Service .38 WCF revolver, dated to 1907. The Colt New Service was manufactured as a US military service revolver, however approximately 122,800 New Service revolvers were manufactured for the commercial market. This particular revolver is the "Early Model", or First Variation, with a flat cylinder latch and non-tapered barrel. The revolver has its original deep blue finish, with both double and single action firing modes, and it's original hard rubber grips with the Colt brand name. The revolver is in excellent condition especially considering it's age, with some minor finish wear and signs of use. The bore and chamber surfaces look excellent, and the grips are in superb shape. The lockup is solid, and the timing is ever-so-slightly off when operating the hammer very slowly, however under normal use, the timing doesn't appear to be an issue.
