Description:
Winchesters Model of 1892 Spring Rifle .44-40wcf. TakeDown Feature. The serial number of this example is 7180XX placing date of manufacture in 1913. Overall condition is very good with a very good to fine bore. The bore has strong Rifling with shine from breech too muzzle. You will see scattered pitting, nothing that will effect the accuracy of this Rifle. The bore will rate an 8 on a 1 to 10 scale, well cared for. The finish is patina with small pitting seen on some of the Barrel Flats and on the bottom of the take Down featured. The TakeDown Feature is tight and mechanically perfect. The action is tight, smooth and mechanically perfect. Wood to metal fit is perfect with normal handling, hunting, storage marks. Little TLC you will have a very nice collector / shooter.
