Description:
This gun is an example of the English gun makers finest work. Though the gun is not marked with a model name,
it has most of the features found on Scotts "A" grade guns.
It is similar to a Monte Carlo, but does NOT have the pigeons engraved on the locks. The engraving is over 80% coverage and of the highest quality.
The wood is simply spectacular. Turkish walnut with dark contrasting streaks. This is the type of wood typically found on Scotts Premier grade guns.
The locks are seven pin. It has the Perkes System which can be identified by the small "Step" at the top back of the lock-plate. This sidelock was replaced with the "Rogers" action soon after this gun was built.
This gun features ejectors, which are very rare on early Scott Sidelock guns.
          Specifications:
95-98% All (ORIGINAL) Finishes and Mechanics.
Bright & Shiny Perfect Original Bores.
30 and 1/8th inch barrels.
Ejectors are strong and "in-time"
Weight 7.2 pounds.
Scott's Improved Bolt (Square crossbolt)
Rounded semi-pistol grip.
Ckoke Right = Modified,  Left = Modified
Chambers are the original 2 and 1/2 inch.
Original stock finish is 98% with only one or two very minor scratches on lower right of buttstock,
Decorative metal buttplate with 99% original finishes.
Lock-up is tight. No lateral or vertical play even without the forend attached.
Checkering is like new.
Screws are perfect and untouched, Notice the very thin slot on the hinge-pin screw, When this slot has been widened to about 1/16th inch it usual means someone has tampered with the gun
The damascus bbls are the finest Scott made. They were more expensive than fluid steel barrels.
Although I have not fired this gun I feel certain it would easily handle RST "Light Loads".  I use those loads in my Scott Damascus Barreled guns and they pattern better than hi-power loads.
In summary:
This gun is in superb "original" condition.
You will not find a better London "Best" gun at this price.
PRICE REDUCED TO $2650. plus 75. shipping, if buyer wants insurance you must ad the amount for inurance. (Please note, due to problems with-in the USPS (United States Postal Services) I will no longer accept any payment from or through the USPS.
