Winchester model 1886 chambered in 40-82 wcf, 86k serial number, 26 inch octagon barrel ( this is the smaller tapered barrel)with good bore, good visible rifling, no pitting, but does show wear. Crescent butt stock early toe down. Rifle was originally color caused hardened, most of the color is gone, some spots still visible, bluing on barrel and magazine tube is very good as well as barrel address and caliber stamp are visible and readable. Wood is in very nice condition, no cracks , just normal handling marks and dings for a 120 year old rifle. Overall a very nice 86 that has been well cared for that would be a fine shooter or collectible.
