Description:
A clean Enfield Tower dated rifle with a 33" long barrel and .65cal SB. Some of these made were special purpose, and have a different configuration.Brass butt-plate , trigger guard, and nose cap, with iron bands. Comes with an earlier trumpet ram-rod. Interesting enough to do research on this unusual model. Action works well, and English walnut srock looks good with age staining, but no issues.Has a long range rear sight. The nipple was replaced at one time and looks more moern made and is very clean. An added European sloing swivel found on the lower butt-stock. Aboiut 4 3/8" down from the muzzle on the left side of the barrel, appears that there may have been a bayonet lug that was removed? So this maybe have been a reworked special apaurpose gun at one time? Still a colorful 19th century military percussion musket. When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting. To buy a gun from me you must get a direct email for me, with details, and shipping cost.
