Description: DESCRIPTION: Marlin Model 1893 SRC in a scarce caliber for a carbine, 32-40, standard saddle ring carbine features including 20" round barrel, full magazine, walnut stocks, carbine butt plate, ladder style rear sight and post front sight, blued and case hardened finish, Special Smokeless Steel barrel, top of receiver factory drilled and tapped for the Hepburn peep sight, serial # 432817, made about 1910. CONDITION: Excellent stocks show very little use, no extra holes, never sanded or refinished, tight and proud. Barrel and mag tube retain 15% of the original blue that has turned patina. Receiver is a mix of patina and silver due to the case colors fading, with some nice case colors remaining on the lower tang. Excellent bore, an 8 of 10, should make a fine shooter after being given a clean bill of health by a competent gunsmith. All markings and parts are correct. Upper inletting of butt stock and upper tang serial numbers match the one on the frame. Solid example of a seldom-seen Marlin SRC. Grades NRA Antique Very Good. TERMS: No international sales.
