Here is a very fine all original all complete fully functional detached lock for either a Model 1855 2-band Harper's Ferry rifle or Model 1855 3-band Harper's Ferry Rifle-Musket. Lock is deeply marked U.s. Harper's Ferry and dated 1858 and is in very fine clean bright polished condition with all original internal parts and screws. Action works perfectly. This would be ideal for your lock collection or to upgrade a worn lock on an original '55 Harper's Ferry Rifle or Musket..Harper's Ferry only produced about 12,000 muskets and 7,000 rifles so original locks and parts for these desirable weapons are pretty scarce.
