Colt Model 1851 Navy fitted with a 7 1/2 inch octagon barrel, one-piece walnut grips, lanyard ring mounted on butt of the grip, blue/color case-hardened/silver plated finished, and .36 Cal. percussion. This 1853 vintage Colt Navy is in very good condition, retaining traces of blue on the barrel, with most having turned a grey patina and the cylinder has lost all of its finish, having turned a silver/grey patina. The frame and hammer have lost all off their orinal finishes, having turned a silver grey patina. The trigger guard and backstrap retain 50% of their original sliver plate finish. The bore is shootable, but rough, and the action functions well. The grips fit well and retain lots of their finish, with assorted handling marks and a chip on the butt of the right grip.
