Description:
WHY is this Richmond musket a correct assembled musket using Harpers Ferry and CS parts. Well, the buttplate, lockplate and at least two of the bands are CS. The U's stamped on the barrel bands are stamped off center. That is correct for confederate manufactured bands. Brass buttplate is no doubt CS. The barrel, stock and probably triggerguard are Harpers Ferry. Correctly assembled and not a dealer who added a richmond lockplate to a US rifled musket. Forgot to mention the hammer is US too. The ramrod is perhaps CS altered at bottom which I forgot to photograph but will add a photo later. This gun is missing the long range sight at the rear and has the correct V P and eagle head proofs. The bore is good with rifling. This is a real nice Richmond for condition. I guarantee this musket for life. Free UPS shipping.
