"Marlin Ballard No.6 Schuetzen.32-40 caliber rifle. Made with a Stevens-Pope barrel. Lever is also a Pope Lever. Barrel length is 32". Bore is excellent. Gun has set triggers. Barrel has scope blocks and a wind gauge front sight. Receiver has a Vernier tang sight. Checkering is excellent on both forend and buttstock. Palm rest is not a Pope rest but looks and works well with the rifle. Barrel has approximately 95-97% blue. Receiver has approximately 95% bright case colors. Stocks have beautiful wood. Note: The top tang of the butt plate is nicely inscribed A.O. Bremer San Francisco. We have no information on Bremer except to surmise that he was probably a known marksman due to his choice of rifles. This rifle weights 15 lbs.
