Description:
Fine Ithaca Grade 3E 10ga gun which appears all factory original. The gun made with 30" barrels that have a splinter forend. Action is beautifully engraved in typical NID Grade 3 pattern. The thick comb capped pistol grip buttstock is nicely checkered. Currently there is a new old stock Jostam pad on the gun, but the original pad remains with the gun- it has simply hardened and is beginning to crystalize. The gun was made with an original single selective trigger, auto ejectors, and auto safety.
The gun remains in excellent original condition overall with more than 95% original wood finish and barrel blue. Case colors are bold and vivid at near 80%. Bores are brilliant and shiny and mechanics are crisp. Trigger works well. Ejectors are timed.
This is an extremely rare gun and would be near impossible to improve upon the original condition and quality. The Ithaca Guns stand to become dramatically more collectible and collected once the Cody Museum begins their research letter service in the near future and the prices will likely jump once that happens.
