U.S. Springfield Model 1840 Flintlock Musket. Has been expertly reconverted back to flintlock configuration. Metal is gray patina. Lock plate and barrel tang are dated 1842. Stock is good and shows some usage with handling wear. Overall a very good 1840 reconverted musket.
