Kentucky Style Mid-1800s Small Bore FOWLING Piece
Here we present an antique Smoothbore Musket, made circa the mid-19th Century. This piece would have been used by the likes of American militiamen. It would have originally been a flintlock before being updated to the percussion firing system. It features a full-length stock and a single trigger. Lock is by Golcher.
The overall condition is good. The action functions, although the hammer spring is weak. The bore is good. “J. GOLCHER” is engraved on the lock. This example would be great on display in the office or den!
