Description:
This is an original WW1 era production (we estimate around 1916) Austrian helmet. The helmet is a large size 66, which is very desirable for today's collector. The helmet is overall in great condition especially given its' age. There are no dents or major issues on the shell - and the original brown colored paint is still in tact. THe interior of the helmet shows light aging and fading of what appears to be a square shaped inkstamp. The outlined edge of this stamp is noticeable, but not legible. This is next to a "3.GB. 66." maker stamp. The original canvas chin strap is still in tact. The interior leather pads are still in good condition as well, although showing normal signs of aging.
