The wood is all there although dented and well used. It has a good strong shootable bore and all parts function well. It has a faint cartouche and other ID marks. The "EPR" on the side of the barrel next to the receiver is for EDWARD P. RICHARDSON -The Ordinance sub-inspector It has an inlaid black star, which is identifying it with a particular unit. This is seen on several CW weapons although I cannot say which unit. This has been used in reenacting and N-AAS events. It is a good Sharps rifle for having, shooting and collecting and it is very reasonable in price. SOLD Antique: Yes Manufacturer: Sharps Rifle Co.
