This is a beautiful 1939 Mauser Luger rig with S/42 factory proof and one of the original matching magazines. The pistol was originally a military example that was then diverted to the police, as indicated by the sear safety. This is a known and uncommon variation. The magazine is factory style numbering and military proofed though. The bluing on the pistol is original and excellent with edge wear on sideplate and barrel, and a couple small areas of patina/discoloration on the front strap and top of barrel. The original matching grips are present and minty. The rig includes an unnumbered fxo magazine and a police holster with 1939 date. It's got a beautiful reddish brown color and sharp maker mark and police eagle.
