World War II US Military Holster for the Colt 1911A1 Automatic Pistol Back is stamped "BOYT" over an inspector's initials "E.T.C." This one defintely got used as it has good honest wear; not a New Old Stock surplus holster that sat in a warehouse stateside. Leather is in Good to Very Good Condition and is still tan with a clear "US" in an oval on the flap. No tears. Stitching looks good. There is a very faint name on the leather that
could probably be indentified....the first three letters might be LT or LTC...Lieutenant or Lieutenant Colonel? followed by a name. Nice example of a WW2 holster that would go well with a Model any of the 1911a1 Contractors for the US Army or Navy . This would include Colt, Remington Rand, US&S ( Union Switch and Signal), Ithaca, and Singer.
