ON HOLD, SALE PENDING. Original hard to find pair of original diamond checkered grips for an early Colt Model 1911 Automatic Pistol These grips are solid with no chips or cracks. They are well used with the checkering showing a good bit of wear. Right grip shows a bit more wear than the left grip frpm the soldier's hand which is what you usually see on WW1 era 1911's. A lot of these original walnuts grips were discarded or replaced over the years with later style hard rubber or plastic grips...particularly if they were Arsenal Rebuilt for WW2 or the years that followed...even the current ones coming out of the CMP at Anniston. There aren't many pairs of these original grips around that aren't already on a 1911.
