Serial number on left side of triggerguard. This rifle was the second-most expensive .22 rifle of the 7 different models offered in the years leading up to WWII, surpassed in cost only by the single-shot Olympic Master Rifle. Receiver with almost all the original blue and "Waffenfabrik-Walther-Zella-Mehlis/Thur" and perpendicular to that the 'Walther" banner. Stock is original with finger groove and no losses with typical amount of wear for gun this old. Slight right hand cast to buttstock and lines up perfectly with sights. The barrel has mint rifling with mirror bright bore. Blue on barrel fading to plumb in a few sports. Original rear sight with 25-200 meter graduations and sling swivel. Original front ramp sight. NO extra holes anywhere. Receiver tang has original factory raised bed for scope mount to be attached to(integral one piece). Receiver ring dovetailed for front scope mount. No import marks. Crown with nitro proof on left barrel next to eagle. Some salt and peppering in a few spots but nothing deep. Rare and probably VERY accurate considering it's legacy and internet chatter.
