Colt 1905 45 ACP, precursor to the 1911. Shipped June 18 1906 to Henry W. Peabody in NY. From there exported to the UK, British proof marks and engraved with a Cave Griffen (Gryppen). Custom grips with a coat of arms, probably Welsh. In very good shape, great bore and rifling. Original parts and magazine. Most of the nitrile bluing in place on small parts. If this gun could speak, it would tell quite a story. Probably used in WW1 as the British would have been issuing revolvers. This Colt 1905 would have been the gun to take to the trenches.
