Description:
This is a very beautiful all-original Weatherby Mark V Lazermark rifle in .300 Weatherby Magnum that was made in 1992.  The Mark V Lazermark was introduced by Weatherby in 1985 and was one of the firm's top-of-the-line regular production rifles.  The Lazermark features a Mark V action, a high-gloss factory blue finish, a 24" or 26" inch barrel with an optional muzzle brake, and a deluxe Claro Walnut Monte Carlo stock with a laser-carved oak leaf pattern, Maple wood spacers, Rosewood forend and grip cap, and a high-gloss finish.  The stock also came standard with a Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad and sling swivel studs.  The Weatherby Mark V Lazermark rifle proved to be just as accurate and reliable as the standard Mark V models but in a much fancier package that rivaled many full custom rifles that cost substantially more.  This particular example is in like-new condition both inside and out, and has obviously spent the vast majority of it's life in a safe.  This Lazermark has a 24" inch barrel with a factory 2" muzzle brake and is chambered in .300 Weatherby Magnum.  The high-gloss blue factory finish is stunning, with a mirror-like polish and deep blue luster.  This factory blue finish shows only a few tiny handling/storage marks and has no actual finish wear, rating 98 to 99%.  The bore is minty and mirror-bright, free from any pitting, erosion, or imperfections.  The rifling still looks brand-new with perfect, sharp lands and grooves throughout the barrel.  The factory integral muzzle brake is in excellent condition and should really reduce the felt recoil by a large percentage.  The bolt face in this Mark V is pristine with no primer halo and the polished grooved bolt body is free from any stains or corrosion.  The floorplate and triggerguard are beautiful and free from any carry-wear, and the two screws that hold it all together have perfect heads on them with no marring.  The stock is really what sets the Lazermark apart from the other Mark V models and the stock on this rifle is really spectacular.  The Claro Walnut is gorgeous with lots of contrasting grain and deep swirling figure showing, particularly in the buttstock.  This stock is in minty condition and is free from any cracks, chips, repairs, or major dings/handling marks.  You really have to look extremely close to find a few extremely small handling/storage marks in the wood.  The laser-carved Oak leaf pattern on the wrist and forearm is beautiful and in perfect condition, with crisp lines and no wear/damage.  The factory Maple spacers and Rosewood caps on the pistol grip and forend are in perfect shape and expertly-fit at the joints.  The high-gloss clear finish on this Mark V Lazermark is like-new, crystal-clear, and 100% intact.  All of the stock hardware and the factory recoil pad are in like-new condition.  The action on this Weatherby is extremely slick and precise, and the bolt locks up perfectly tight when in battery.  All of the controls on this rifle are in perfect working order.  This Weatherby should function 100% like the day it left the factory.  The powerful .300 Weatherby Magnum chambering is ideal for big game and dangerous game on this continent as well as others, and the cartridge is well-known for being exceptionally accurate from close-in to extreme long ranges.  As mentioned in the title, this Weatherby comes complete with some period Redfield bases and a pair of 1" inch rings with an extended relief front ring.  All this rifle needs is a nice high-quality scope to be ready for the woods or range.  If you have been looking for a beautiful new rifle for your rifle collection this vintage Weatherby Mark V Lazermark model would be an excellent choice.  You could carry this rifle into any hunting camp in the world with pride, and it should also prove to be an excellent long-term investment.
