Payment Types Accepted: Visa,Master Card, Discover,Check Description: For sale, a very clean and lightly used Smith & Wesson Model 500 revolver chambered in the extremely powerful .500 S&W cartridge.  This massive revolver comes complete with the original factory box with intact end labels, the owners' manual, assorted paperwork/hangtags, the anti-rust shipping paper, factory-fired cases, and the factory lock.  The S&W Model 500 was introduced in 2003 and billed as "The most powerful production handgun in the world".  The Model 500 was built on the firm's largest and strongest frame, the "X Frame".   The "X Frame" was specifically engineered and developed to handle the immense pressures an forces generated by the .500 S&W cartridge.  The S&W Model 500 ended up being a commercial success for the firm, quickly earning a reputation for being extremely powerful, well-made, and accurate.  This S&W Model 500 is in excellent overall condition and features all stainless steel construction, an 8 & 3/8ths" inch barrel with a factory muzzle brake, an interchangeable front sight blade with a micrometer click adjustable rear sight, a 5-shot cylinder with a locking ball-detent for the crane, an integral keyed action lock, a factory drilled and tapped topstrap ready for optics (accessible with rear sight removed), and a Hogue Sorbothane 1-piece textured rubber wraparound finger-groove grip with the S&W logo on both sides.  This example was bought new by the original owner, shot a handful of times, and then put into a safe until now.  The stainless steel exterior rates 98% plus.  The only deductions are some tiny little handling/storage marks in the stainless steel that are only visible if you look extremely closely, and a very faint drag-line around the cylinder.  As you can see from the pictures, none of these deductions detract any appreciable amount from the beautiful look of this revolver.  The bore in the 8 & 3/8ths" inch barrel has a minty bright bore with sharp lands and grooves int he rifling.  There is no pitting ,erosion, or visible imperfections whatsoever.  The 5 cylinder bores are equally as pristine and free of imperfections.  The factory original Hogue Sorbothane grip is in like-new condition and free from any visible wear, tearing, or damage of any kind.  The 1-piece grip is perfectly fit to the gun and tight to the frame with no wiggle.  All of the controls on this S&W are in excellent condition and perfect working order, including the adjustable rear sight.  The action on this Model 500 is very smooth and perfectly "in time".  It is precise and locks up tight whether it is worked in single or double-action, fast or slow.  This is all no surprise as the internals are just as clean and free from mechanical wear as the exterior.  We have no doubt that this S&W will perform just as well today as the day it left the factory 15 years ago.  As mentioned previously, this beauty comes complete with everything it left the factory with, including the serial-numbered blue plastic factory box/case and all the inserts.  If you have been looking for one of these monsters as an investment for your collection, or have plans to take it afield and hunt big game and/or dangerous game, here is your chance to get a very lightly used, clean, and complete example at a great price.          SOLD Manufacturer: Smith & Wesson Model: Model 500 Serial Number: CHU8805 Caliber Info: .500 S&W Bore: Minty Condition: Excellent Barrels: 8 & 3/8ths Inches Action: SA/DA Finish: Stainless Steel Sights: Factory Interchangeable Front Blade, Micrometer Click Adjustable Rear Manufacture Date: 2004 Extras: w/ Original Box, Manuals, Etc.
