This Remington UMC was produced in 1918. The pistol's serial number is 1045. This pistol is all Remington UMC in parts and condition. The frame has the correct inspectors initials of Major Edmond E. Chapman. The barrel is original to this pistol. The barrel is in good condition with sharp lands. There is frosting by the chamber throat that would not affect the pistol's accuracy. The slide has holster wear by the muzzle end. The weak bluing on the slide is about 96% overall. The barrel blue would rate a 92% overall condition due to the gun's cycling of the action. The frame bluing would rate a 95% overall condition. The area above the pistol's serial number has the veteran's name stamped on. The name is [Delaney]. The original grips are in lightly worn condition. This is a very nice condition early Remington UMC pistol! It has the right two tone magazine with this pistol. These Remington's are very difficult to find with the original parts intact today. Remington did not produce many of these model 1911's The total production of the model of 1911 was 21,676 pistols. They started production in April of 1918 and ended in 1919. The early production models are more difficult to find today. Search for hlvfineguns on google for more details.
