Description:
PENDING SALE-This is one of the original Ruger Magnum rifles, their "Bond Street" quality magazine rifles, chambered in 300 Win Mag. These eventually became the Ruger RSM safari rifles, but by then they were only made in 375 H&H, 416 Rigby and 458 Lott.
For a brief time before the RSM series, the Ruger Magnum rifles were made in 270, 30-06, 300 WM, and a few in 25-06. These rifles have become very hard to find.
The rifles are made using Circassian Walnut for the stocks. The barrel and quarter rib are machined out of one piece of steel, not soldered on as most are. The bluing is similar to the old Weatherby rifles; like a deep blue mirror. The front sling mount is barrel-mounted, the floorplate is released from inside the trigger bow, the open sights are express style, and the stock is finished with an Ebony forend cap. The safety is a 3-position side safety similar to the Winchester Model 70, and there is a bolt release on the opposite side of the action. This rifle is in near new condition
