Here is a very nice El Tigre carbine. These were copies of the 1892 Winchester carbine though slightly more robust. This one has an excellent bore. good working action (I have shot this rifle and it works fine) and appears all original. These were made in Spain 1915 to 1937 I believe. They were used by the police and the military. 22" barrel. These almost always have sling swivels as does this one but this is one of the few I've seen with a checkered stock. While I can't guarantee the checkering is factory, it is sharp and nicely executed. When I was a youngster I used to beg my father to buy one of these from the magazine ads as they looked like the guns on western TV shows. I had no success.
