Description:
 M1903 .32 ACP pistol S/N 568483, original parkerized finish with U.S. PROPERTY mark on right side of frame and ordnance wheel on left rear of frame behind thumb safety.  Pistol is documented as issued to Brigadier General D. Parkhurst in 4/17/56 (Ref. JW Brunner, “Colt Pocket Hammerless Automatic Pistols, Pg 144”). Box is numbered to the gun with handwritten serial numbers on box cover and bottom. Configuration of box and S/N labeling are similar to those as shown in Coltautos dot com

Pistol has matching numbered slide. Two original issue full blued magazines showing almost no wear.  Also included is a black holster typically issued to Army Officers from 1955 thru the sixties. 

Preliminary research showed that Brig. Gen. Parkhurst was the Commanding Officer of 826th Aviation Engineering Battalion in WWII. Details of his Army service may be available thru Springfield Research and others.
