Description:
***SOLD*** US Krag-Jorgensen Model 1898 .30-40 Krag bolt action rifle. This rifle started its life as a US service rifle, and was likely brought home by a soldier or purchased as surplus, and converted into a trusty sporting rifle for hunting. The rifle has been tastefully converted, with a cut down and recrowned barrel, a proper front sight, a reblued finish, and the barreled action has been fitted into a very nice Bishop walnut stock with a raised cheek piece and accent line. The rifle is in great working order with a smooth action and a functional magazine assembly. The bore has some areas of darkness, however rifling is still visible. The front sight also shows evidence of corrosion, as shown. Overall, this rifle is a tasteful sporterzation of a Krag service rifle, and would make for a nice woods rifle during deer season!
