Description:
This is very lightly-used and very clean Charter Arms Bulldog .44 Special double-action revolver with a 3" inch barrel. This Bulldog features a factory gloss-blue finish, steel frame construction, a 5-shot fluted cylinder, a case colored hammer, and Pachmayr Gripper black rubber finger-groove grips. This revolver has fixed sights and a left-side mounted cylinder release. This Bulldog looks to have been fired very, very little and remains in excellent condition overall. The gloss blue finish is still bright and clean, showing only very minor handling marks and wear, rating 97 to 98%. The bore in the 3" inch barrel is mirror-bright and perfect, free from any pitting, erosion, or imperfections. The rifling still looks brand-new. The 5 cylinder chambers are also in excellent condition. The aftermarket Pachmayr grips are in excellent shape and are very comfortable. They should do a much better job of absorbing recoil than the factory originals. The action on this Bulldog is perfectly "in time" and is smooth and precise. All of the controls on this revolver are in perfect working order and the trigger is quite nice for this type of revolver. We have no doubt that this Charter Arms Bulldog will be just as reliable and accurate now as the day it originally left the factory. The .44 Special chambering is a superb cartridge for self defense and is also more than adequate for protection from black bears. If you have been looking for an affordable big-bore revolver that is compact enough for self-defense or trail/hiking use, this Charter Arms Bulldog would be an excellent choice.
