Description:
If you were drawing up a Woodcock gun this wouldn't be a bad choice. It has also taken a number of Grouse as well. This is a lovely little Francotte model 14E so it has ejectors in my favorite gauge the 28. This little gun was built in 1964 and still is in lovely condition with probably 70% of case coloring and 95% of barrel blue. The gun has original 25 inch barrels with bores of .547 in both tubes and .003 constriction in both tubes for skeet and skeet. Both tubes are marked 13.8 choke so these are the original chokes as it left the factory. Stock is straight, English grip and dimensions are 1 1/2 X 2 3/8 X 14 1/8 over a thin 1/2 inch solid pad. Cast of the stock is neutral so with the single trigger either a right or left hand shooter can handle this gun equally well. You can easily bring the length of pull to 14 5/8 inches with the installation of a 1" pad and a leather covered pad would look great on this lovely light colored english walnut stock. The gun features a splinter forend with an Anson push button release. Gun also has a Miller, selective, single trigger. Lockup is very tight with no play with forend on or off. Top lever is centered. Ejectors are strong and well timed. Weight of this beauty is a dainty 4 pounds 15 ounces, so no fatigue at the end of the day. Condition is very nice with a few small marks on the stock and on the bluing. Pictures tell a very accurate story. Price of this rare little beauty is $6500 plus $50 shipping to your FFL.
