Description:
Beautiful, high condition, cased, Colt 1849 Pocket Model, .31 caliber, 5 shot, percussion revolver with a 5" barrel. Serial number is 307366 matching on the barrel, frame, triggerguard and backstrap with the last four digits on the cylinder and the last five digits on the wedge. The original walnut grips fit perfectly and retain nearly all of the original factory varnish with normal dings and dents from modest use. Has a high percentage of original factory blue and case colors remaining throughout with a pleasing amount of original factory silver plate on the triggerguard and backstrap. All factory applied markings are clear and readable. The action functions properly and the bore is good. Comes in a period case with all accoutrements shown including a James Dixon & Sons, Sheffield marked powder flask, a Colts Patent bullet mold marked 31PKT, an empty Eley London cap tin and an assortment of conical and round led balls. The front of the case is damaged and missing the hook latches and some wood loss around the lock. Price includes insurance and shipping to the continental United States where legal.
