Colt MK IV Series 70 1911 Government Model, Nickel Finished, Cal. .45 ACP Description: This Colt Government Model MK IV Series 70 1911 was made in 1974 judging from its serial # (70 G66XXX). This pistol is fitted with a 5 inch barrel, smooth walnut grips with Colt medallions, matte nickel with high polished flats finsh and chambered in .45 ACP .. It retains all of its original nickel finish, with very minor surface scratches/handling marks ( Like new except for one mark under the take down) .NEARLY PRISTINE! The grips are in very fine condition, with hardly a mark on them.. The bore is bright and the action functions perfectly. Comes with its original foam box insert , one factory colt 45 mag, no exterior cardboard or paperwork.. You seldom see these with the nickel finish. ESPECIALLY IN THIS AWESOME NEARLY PRISTINE CONDITION! As seen in the many highly detailed photos the condition of this piece is Phenomenal with only minor indications of consumer use and handling. Of course photographing this beauty was difficult due to the highly reflective nature of the high polished mirror like nickel finish. Most marks seen in pictures are fingerprints or reflections!
