Description:
For your consideration is a sensational Springfield Armory inter war gun with CMP provenance. Springfield Armory manufactured 331,854 new M1 barrels between fiscal years 1946 and 1947 for use in overhauling existing Garands. Some of these wound up on new Garands for the Korean war. 4348011 is one of these rifles. All the parts on this rifle are marked Springfield (SA). It has a beautiful stock with the small DOD cartouche and a circle P proof with matching hanguards. The rifle also has a new butt plate so it likely wet through SA after the Korean War. The ME is is under 2, the TE is under 4 and it locks up tight. It has been inspected by the CMP Armorers and test fired. It was assigned a Service Grade rating by the CMP. The gas cylinder plug is marked with an S not shown. All other parts and drawing numbers are shown. This rifle ships fully insured to a C&R/FFL for $1250 delivered. It comes with all the CMP paper work in a CMP hard case, very nice sling and a new clip. I take bank Cashier Checks and USPS Money Orders, thanks.
