Description:
This is a hard to find 1873 with a special order 30" barrel which is chambered in 32-20 calibur. This rifle is a 3rd model built in 1894, and qualifies as an antique, and can be shipped directly to your residence. Condition of this piece is quite nice for 125 years old. In my estimate, I would rate this rifle a strong 60-70% overall condition.The sight package appears original to the gun. The 6" longer then stock barrel is rather uncommon for these rifles. It also has the full length magazine tube that is in great shape as well with no dents, and decent blue. The bore is typical frosty, with decent shootable rifling present (better then average). The stocks are in very good shape, and appear to have the original finish, showing only minor handling marks and no splits or repairs. There is a small chip in the forearm at the receiver on th right side top (pic.3). The dust cover is intact, and the action works as it should. All script and other markings are clear, and the blue finish is all original at 60% receiver, and 75% barrel.
