Description:
Standard configuration Wartime Standard Commercial with 5.5” barrel, slip-in 50-1000 rear sight, late extractor and two lug firing pin. Usual address on top of chamber with full serial number on left flat. Crown/C/U proofing on left side. Two line manufacturer address on right side of frame. Imperial acceptance on right side of barrel extension. Serrated walnut grips, replacement lanyard ring. Major components are rust blued. Fire blued extractor, rear sight components, bolt stop, safety, trigger, grip screw, stock hinge and lug. Disassembly shows all matching numbers except for the replaced and unnumbered floor plate. Correct stock, lightly sanded, no evident imperial acceptance. Hinge without loop. Lug has been renumbered to match. Excellent fit to stock slot with minimal wobble. Condition: VG+ original rust blue finish except for re blued floor plate. Small parts and grips with comparable wear, no suggestion of enhancement. Slightly dull bore with sharp rifling. Perfect manual mechanics. Stock has been slightly sanded with the fire blue enhanced on hinge and lug, one inch hairline crack, neatly repaired, on body extending down from grip cutout.
