Description:
listing a little Savage saddle ring carbine I've got. it's a true 1899 model F, serial number 41.131 built in 1904, these were first made in 303 but I'm thinking this is the first year Mfg'd in the popular Winchester 30/30, cocking indicator was located top of bolt until I think 1910, this gal has a replacement stock, came from Bozeman, Mt. area, I've got the original stock that I got with the carbine, kinda rough but will include it with purchase.pretty little rifle , has some of the original blue on barrel , decent bore and metal, she's old, pretty rare only the Savage Musket's are fewer. carbine has the 20" barrel , round  counter on the left side and the brass rotary magazine, this little gal no doubt has a lot of stories behind it.still as tight and solid as the day it was made. These receivers were milled out of a block of solid steel not stamped out like the stuff made today. So if your in the market for a nice shooting deer rifle or want to ad this piece of history to your collection here she is. good investment , 116 years old and only getting older. I'd include the shipping and insurance with the price of the carbine. you can pay the freight if you send it back. Any questions , please call
