This is a stellar condition Remington-Jenks breechloading Civil War carbine. Only 1000 were produced by Remington in 1847. The barrel retains just about all the original brown lacquer. Casehardning on lock and lever is all there. Stock has small storage marks and open grain we like to see. Perfect Richard Paine cartouche opposite lock. Unfired perfect bore.
