Winchester Model 1892 Sporting Rifle .44-40wcf. The serial number of this example is 2224XX placing date in 1904. Overall condition is fine with the rifle retaining 70-75% of the original untouched factory finish toning to a very nice even patina. The bore is perfect. The bore is bright and shiny from breech too muzzle. The rifling will rate a 10 on a 1 to 10 scale. No damage! The action is tight, smooth and mechanically perfect. Wood to metal fit is perfect with swivel holes at bottom forend and butt stock. great little collector shooter.
