Description:
These very fine and accurate 600 series rifles were produced from 1964 to approx 1967 or 68. One of the least frequently found and most desirable are the Magums chambered in 350 Rem Mag and 6.5 Mag. Originally designed as a guide rifle with its compacts size (36 !/2") light weight and big firepower in 350 Rem which is capable of handling any game on the planet; a great big bear or woods elk gun. This one is in really excellent condition with only a few modest flaws. Most of the Magnum models were made as this one in Laminated stocks which like this gun are an attractive light color with factory black recoil pad. Comes with a Redfield 1 pc base and rings. Rear site removed and not included; many were removed to provide scope clearance.
The model 600's were the basis of Jeff Coopers Scout and Super Scout rifles which are now offered by Ruger and perhaps other companies.
This is a 2d year production gun made in May 1965.
These are rare and getting to be harder and harder to find in this kind of condition.
