Description:
This Colt M-1851 Navy revolver was manufactured in 1857 and remains in very good + condition. Revolver is all original and has matching serial numbers throughout, including the wedge. Sub-inspections are present on parts throughout the revolver. The barrel top has a strong clear address and frame is well marked COLTS PATENT U.S. The cylinder shows much of its scene and has a little scattered darkness. The actions are crisp and tight. The bore shows strong rifling with scattered peppering. The origianl wood grips are very fine and have a very nice inspectors cartouche on each side. The very bottom of the left grip has a C sub-inspection. Pistol measures 14" overall with a 7 1/2" barrel. This is well above average for a US Martial M-1851 Navy revolver.
