Here is a nice old soldier. These rolling blocks were made at our Springfield Armory. 50-70 was the caliber of the day for the government back then prior to the adoption of the .45-70 caliber. I've shot this rifle and it is accurate and everything works. 36" barrel with a very good bore. Some old oil stains on the stock as pictured. No cracks or missing wood. A very solid oldtimer. Dies and brass are readily available from several sources. $50 shipping and insurance via priority mail to the lower 48. No ffl neeeded for antiques. Layaway available.
