Here is another 1871 Springfield, similar to my other listing. It is more heavily patinated but has a slightly better bore though both are very nice. The .50-70 was our government caliber before the adoption of the .45-70. I've shot this rifle and it is accurate and works as it should. For some reason it does not have the 1871 markings on it or the emblem that the other rifle has but they are identical but for that. There is no evidence that any markings were removed; it's like they were never there. $50 shipping and insurance via priority mail to the lower 48. No ffl required. Layaway available.
