Manufactured from 1817 to 1820 by Simeon North, of Middletown, Connecticut, for the U.S. Government.
The Lock Plate is marked with the early style markings 'S. NORTH' over the top of an American Eagle 'US', 'MIDLNTN CONN'... with a 9-1/8" Barrel, .54 Caliber.
The Stock is solid with light chips, dings, and scratches from years of service. Iron furniture. All metal parts have a heavy patina, with pitting throughout... Hickory Ram rod. The pistol needs mechanical help to fire... 15.5" - Overall length. An Original, and a Good Buy at $885.
