Payment Types Accepted: Money Oder Description: Listing a model 1895 Winchester rifle I've owned a while , it's the 30/03 caliber , the 30/ govt / 03 , made prior to the Springfield 30/06 cartridge which will shoot in this rifle . Their case being a slight bit shorter. This rifle has the 24" round barrel and was built in 1922, serial number 406884. Being 98 years old the rifle is in fine original condition. Doesn't appear to have ever been sanded or messed with. Looks to be standard rifle rear open sight.nice rifle if your planning on finishing your collection or possible hunting with it. Functions fine, one of the strongest if not the strongest action ever built by Mr John Browning. With the box magazine enabling it to handle the Spitzer or pointed Bullets . Mr Roosevelt claimed with these 95's he could shoot 3-4 rounds per minute . I'll insure and ship with cost of rifle. These 30/03's don't come around that often. Most 95's were built for the Soviets almost 2/3's of them . The depression put a crimp on production and the bolt action Mauser's were starting to take over also. You can look it over for three days but sorry no shooting or dismantling and if you don't like , send it back and I'd refund less shipping. I've two full boxes of old original Ammo , I'd maybe sell if you purchase rifle SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes Manufacturer: Winchester Model: 1895 Serial Number: 406884 Caliber Info: 30/03 Condition: Decent Metal Condition: Decent Wood Condition: Decent Bore Condition: Very good Action: Lever Triggers: Single Butt Pad: Crescent Sights: Open rear Manufacture Date: 1922 |
