Phillip H Grose (1859-1925) signed Rutherford Co. NC rifle . Signature is not the same as on other Grose rifles. He is listed as a gunsmith in Uree (Now Lake Lure) Rutherford Co., NC. He was noted for "Plain - No Frills Rifles". The barrel length is 37 1/2" and overall length is 52 1/2". It is a .45 caliber and has brass fittings, pewter nose cap and set trigger. Weight is 9 lbs. 2 oz. Rifle is in very good antique condition.
