Carbine's barrel date is 9-43. The carbine's serial number is 2577501. It is fitted with a Underwood barrel with a sharp bore. This carbine is not a Import marked gun. It has the usual mixed coded G.I. parts. The stock and handguard are G.I. issued. This is a nice shooter grade M1 carbine that you can have fun with! Underwood carbines were well made and had a good production run. Search for hlvfineguns on google for more details.
