Description:
Produced in 1925, this Winchester Model 53 is in great condition for its age. The receiver has patina'ed, as all 92's do because the metal did not take the blue very well. The front half however, including the 22" barrel, has lots of original blue. barrels et al were hardened differently and retained the blue better. The bore is also- excellent, bright and strong. This rifle retains its original front and rear sights, with the addition of a Marbles folding tang peep sight. Stocks are in excellent condition, retaining most of their original finish and showing very little signs of wear. No evidence of sanding either. No doubt this is still a tack driver if you can do your part. The pictures tell most of the story- this is really a nice one. In order to protect your investment, all long guns over $500 must be shipped in a hard case. Minimum shipping at this level is $55 and includes the hard case. Shipping cost could increase depending on value or weight of the firearm. For long guns less than $500, we still recommend the purchase of a hard case, again to protect your investment.
