Description:
These guns were made in very few numbers and were only produced for a couple of years.
This gun was manufactured in 1874.
Has about 80% of the damascus pattern. Barrel finish is mostly muted and showing a gray patina.
The wood is very sound with no chips or cracks. has beautiful grain that is somewhat hidden due to the finish darkening with age.
Bores have some pitting in front of the chambers but there is still some shine for most of their length.
Case color has faded. Checkering is worn from use, but the gun is quite solid for being 146 years old
The gun is quite tight with the forend attached, A very slight side to side movement with forend removed.
This is an Historical piece for the serious Scott collector. Or for the Shotgun collector who specializes in Oddities,
